Sautˇed Plantains

Yield: Makes 5 servings

For a pretty presentation, serve these in a dish lined with Ti leaves, which are available at florist shops.


  • 3 tablespoons, butter or margarine
  • 2 plantains, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch chunks
  • Salt & pepper to taste


Melt the butter in a large skillet. Add the plantain chunks and cook over medium heat for about 20 minutes or until golden brown, turning frequently. Salt and pepper to taste.
